Bible Doctrine

New Edition!

Bible Doctrine is a site that emphasizes Paul’s “gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20.24), that Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15.1-4). The Corinthian passage is the clearest definition of Paul’s gospel which is the “power of salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1.16-17). The articles have been written to reveal God’s love and His wonderful salvation for all who will believe and to inform, encourage, and strengthen believers in the Christian faith and life.

Three factors are essential for correct biblical interpretation: 1) understanding the Scriptures are God-breathed (θεόπνευστος, 2 Timothy 3.16) 2) understanding God has progressively revealed the Scriptures within a structural framework, and 3) maintaining a sound, consistent interpretative method (hermeneutic). A normal, non-symbolic or figurative, hermeneutic is essential for sound interpretation for the areas of theology: soteriology, Christology, Israelology, ecclesiology, anthropology, pneumatology, angelology, and eschatology.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. — Romans 3:23-26 (NKJV)
